commission your portrait

To commission your own portrait from Charlotte, please follow the steps outlined below.
If you have any questions please contact Charlotte to discuss your requirements. She would love to hear from you, respond to any queries that you might have and ensure your photos are suitable before you place your order.

Please ensure you have read the terms and conditions before ordering your bespoke artwork.

The first stage of the commission process is to choose your reference photographs. The photographs that you provide are crucial to the quality of the commission piece that Charlotte can create for you. Please take a look at the photography guide for more information on how to create the perfect reference photograph.
Charlotte offers a range of sizes from A5 to A1, that vary in price accordingly, and are outlined on the portrait prices page. Please consider whether you would like your portrait to depict the head and shoulders of your pet or their full body.

Once you have chosen your reference photographs and the type of portrait you would like, please email Charlotte with your specifications and attach your images. At this point Charlotte will provide relevant advice and an estimated completion date. If you have any special requests or a certain deadline then please let her know and she will do her best to meet your requirements.

Once Charlotte has received your photographs and you have discussed your portrait, you are ready to place your order. Please take a moment to read the terms and conditions and then pay a £50 non-refundable deposit. This is required to secure your portrait in the client waiting list. 50% of the remaining balance is required one week before Charlotte commences work on your portrait, with the remaining balance due on completion or the portrait. Payments can be made securely via bank transfer.

Charlotte will be in touch with you regularly via email showing you the progress of your portrait. This provides an opportunity for you to be involved in the drawing process. Updates will also be posted on her social media pages. If you would prefer that progress photos of your artwork are not shared online, please let Charlotte know when placing your order.

Once Charlotte has completed your portrait she will send you a digital copy of your artwork. At this stage Charlotte may be able to make minor adjustments. You will then be invoiced the remaining balance which must be paid within 7 days of completion. The portrait will be shipped once all balances have been paid in full and cleared.

If you would like your order to include prints of your commission piece, please let her know before she commences work on your drawing. Prints are an additional cost and a quote will be provided on request.

Your artwork will be professionally mounted, beautifully wrapped and carefully packaged in order to ensure that it arrives with you in perfect condition.
